The Challenge

A large family residence in Army Estate ran on a 5kVA fuel generator for 8–14 hours daily due to unreliable grid supply. Monthly fuel costs were about ₦320,000, and the family was spending additional money on generator maintenance and replacement parts.

The constant noise disturbed children's study time and sleep, and the generator exhaust created health concerns for elderly family members.

Our Solution

We installed a 12kVA hybrid solar system with 48kWh battery storage. The system powers all household loads including air conditioning, refrigerator, water pumping, lighting, and entertainment systems.

The battery bank provides overnight backup for essential loads.

How We Delivered

01

Home Energy Audit

Detailed load assessment including AC, pumping, and kitchen appliances.

02

Rooftop Design

Panel layout optimised for Abuja's solar exposure while preserving roof integrity.

03

Installation

Five-day installation with family present and minimal disruption.

04

Family Training

Household staff trained on monitoring app and basic system care.

Results

  • Generator now only used as emergency backup during prolonged rainy weather.
  • Children study and sleep without generator noise. Indoor air quality improved.
  • AC runs consistently during hot Abuja afternoons without worrying about fuel.
  • Solar installation documented for property valuation and potential resale.

My family can finally sleep through the night without a generator roaring outside. The solar system handles our entire home including air conditioning. Its worth every naira.
