The Challenge

A neighbouring home in Army Estate faced identical power challenges. The family relied on a 12kVA generator running 12–14 hours daily, spending ₦280,000 monthly on diesel alone.

The homeowner, a retired military officer, wanted a reliable power solution that would not require ongoing maintenance or fuel logistics in his retirement years.

Our Solution

We installed a 10kVA hybrid solar system with 40kWh battery storage. The system is sized for essential household loads with selective AC usage during peak sun hours.

28 rooftop panels and a compact battery bank fit neatly on the property without requiring structural modifications to the house.

How We Delivered

01

Essential Load Assessment

Focused on critical loads with optional AC during solar peak hours.

02

Compact System Design

Space-efficient layout for a smaller roof area.

03

Installation

Four-day installation with retired homeowner observing and learning.

04

Results

  • Near-total elimination of diesel purchases for household power.
  • Zero fuel logistics or generator maintenance burden for the homeowner.
  • Quiet operation allows uninterrupted rest and relaxation.
  • Homeowner no longer dependent on diesel supply or generator mechanics.

In retirement, I wanted peace and quiet, not generator noise and diesel runs. This solar system gives me exactly that. I check my phone to see how much power we are making. Simple and reliable.
