The Challenge

Rico Port Restaurant operated in Kurudu where grid power was available only 6–8 hours daily. A 15kVA diesel generator ran 16–18 hours daily to power kitchen equipment, cold storage, lighting, and sound systems for events.

Diesel costs were averaging ₦480,000 monthly, and generator noise during evening events was driving away customers seeking an ambient dining experience.

Our Solution

We deployed a 12kVA hybrid solar system with 48kWh battery backup. The system handles all kitchen loads, refrigeration, and lighting. A dedicated inverter circuit powers the sound system for events without interference.

32 panels on the restaurant roof provide generation without occupying customer parking or outdoor dining space.
